In this episode the boys’ headed to Whakatane for a big snapper and kingfish hunt. They hooked into a few nice kings in the deep water before heading into the shallows for a strayline session.

The crew were in Whangaroa where the challenge was set to land a 30kg table fish. The boys tried trolling for yellowfin tuna, hooked a few mako sharks and then switched tactics to deep dropping on some good sign. They got into a few deep sea species including a couple of nice bluenose.

After a slow start the boys got their hands on some Ruby Fish which they turned into baits. The deep sea monsters came on the bite and the crew managed to land a couple of nice last minute 30kg+ wreck fish.

The boys headed out of Tauranga to take on Mayor Island. After loading up on some premium live bait using small jigs and bait the fishing proved hot and cold as usual, but once it turned on the boys got stuck into the Kingies!
