THEIR NEW SEASON WILL AIR SUNDAY 15 AUGUST 2021 4.30PM ON TVNZ ONE
SCOTT AND MIG RETURN TO THE SCREEN WITH ANOTHER SEASON OF HIGH ENERGY ENTERTAINMENT AS THEY ADVENTURE AROUND NEW ZEALAND..
Fishing & Adventure Season 9, is hitting screens Sundays 4.30pm on TVNZ ONE. The boys are back onboard their fish magnet, the Surtees 750 Gamefisher "Holy Ship", exploring the coastlines of NZ in search of the ever elusive challenge fish.
To keep things fresh, a ‘time limit’ has been added for each challenge, creating a new element of tension and excitement to the show while raising the difficulty levels and keeping everyone on their toes. It also means that the boys are pushing hard to avoid coming home to a dreaded consequence.
After 8 seasons of fishing up and down the country, you’d think that they have seen and done it all, but as always the ocean is full of unexpected surprises which is what keeps them coming back for more.
The hero missions include a two-part episode in the Far North in which the boys encounter once-in-a-lifetime fishing conditions. Venturing as far as the roads will take them, they embark on a 48 hour challenge, travelling 80 nautical miles along the coastline in search of XXXL snapper, donkey kingfish and big trevally.
This season sees the crew head to Great Barrier Island for the first time since Season 1, and test their skills in extreme weather conditions while battling the clock. The untouched coastlines of GBI are full of life and delicious kai-moana and the boys get to enjoy some truly amazing fishing and diving.
The 13 episode season is packed full of epic adventures but also includes awesome grassroots missions to the Manukau Harbour and 90 Mile Beach. The back to basics style episodes are favourites among new and experienced fishermen with heaps of tips and relatable content for viewers to enjoy.
There are plenty of big kings and snapper in close, but gamefish and other deep water species are not left off the challenge list.
Keep an eye out for one of the best seasons of Fishing and Adventure yet!
